Cranberry Chutneys from Around the World: Thanksgiving Edition

By Darlene Hardiman, RD

Thanksgiving may be rooted in American tradition, but that doesn’t mean your cranberry sauce has to be! This year, we’re traveling the world—one spoonful at a time—with cranberry chutneys inspired by global spices and flavors.

Why Cranberry Chutney?

Cranberries are naturally tart and vibrant, which makes them the perfect canvas for experimenting with sweet, spicy, and savory combinations. Chutneys – originally from India – are thicker, more textured, and spiced versions of the traditional cranberry sauce. They complement everything from roast turkey and cheeses to sandwiches and curries.

Our journey begins in India.

Bring the warmth of Indian spices to your Thanksgiving table with this sweet and spicy chutney. A dash of garam masala and a hint of chili transform classic cranberry sauce into something bold, aromatic, and unforgettable.
