Wonderful Water!
Easy ways to add a little flavorby Rima Manomaitis

Staying hydrated is super important for everyone but especially those who have cystic fibrosis and those who have had a transplant. Getting enough water each day can be difficult, I struggle a lot every day to reach my goal. Drinking water can get boring, but there are ways to spruce it up!
Here are several ways to make drinking water more flavorful!
- Add mint and cucumber
- Add lemon slices
- Add lime slices
- Add slices of lemon and strawberries
- Add a flavored electrolyte powder, liquid, or tablet
- Several splashes of your favorite Gatorade or juice
For the mint, to get the most flavor out of it, I suggest rolling a glass cup over the leaves to release the flavors.

If you’re going to add cut fruit or mint to your water be sure to wash them well since they’ll be in your water. If you don’t have pre-made veggie and fruit wash, you can use a mix of water and white vinegar!
