Make a Bento box for a quick and easy lunch!

All you need to do is pull together some simple ingredients in a Bento box or other container, refrigerate them overnight, and enjoy a quick and easy lunch the next day! Plus, you can swap out any of the ingredients, so the possibilities are literally endless.

Here are the basic components for a Bento box lunch:
  • Protein – Turkey, ham, or chicken slices, pepperoni or salami, any type of cheese, hard boiled eggs, tofu, chickpeas, etc.
  • Whole Grain – Crackers, pita bread, wrap or tortilla, brown rice, pasta, etc.
  • Fat – Almonds, pecans, or cashews, avocado/guacamole, Tzatziki dip, hummus, etc.
  • Fruit – Apples, bananas, grapes, pears, kiwi, oranges, pomegranates, etc.
  • Vegetable – Beets, broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, celery, peppers, radishes, sweet potatoes, winter squash, etc.
Bonus Tip: Bento boxes are great for adults and kids alike! You can pack everyone’s lunch the night before: choose one item from each category, place it into each lunch box, and you are ready for tomorrow morning!
