SMART Goal Nutrition Examples

Are you new to SMART goals?
SMART is an acronym and strategy used in business that means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and there? How do you know when to stop driving? Having a plan in place will help you answer all of these questions and let you focus on enjoying the drive instead and stressing out about what you’re doing.

Below we have a couple of other examples, both nutrition focused – one for adults and another for kids!
SMART Goals – Adults
S – You want to reach your goal of 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.
M – You will be tracking your fruit and vegetable intake with checkmarks on your planner.
A – You will start by adding 1 serving of fruits/vegetables at breakfast for 1 week, then add 1 serving at lunch, dinner, and/or snacks each week.
R – By increasing your fruit and vegetable intake, you will ensure that you are supplying your body with all of the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that it needs to stay healthy!
T – By staying consistent, you will reach your goal of 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day in 5 weeks!
SMART Goals – Youth
S – You want to remember to take your enzymes every day at lunch.
M – You will be tracking your enzyme adherence with checkmarks on your planner.
A – You will set the alarm on your phone to go off every day at lunch to remind you to take your enzymes.
R – You will remember to take your enzymes with lunch, which will improve your nutritional intake and digestive symptoms.
T – By staying consistent, you will form a new habit in about 60 days!
